“This all came about through a fortuitous set of circumstances, with good partnerships, an open and welcoming community, and most of all, our willingness to go where the land led us.” – Barry Olliff
Stable View, known as “a gathering place,” was purchased in 2010 and repurposed from a quail hunting lodge into a top notch equestrian training facility. The property itself included 1,000 acres of gently rolling hills with forests of long leaf pines. Over 800 acres of Stable View is conserved land with a variety of flora and fauna, including endangered species of native plant-life.
Situated just outside the heart of Aiken along I-20, Stable View has joined the rich equestrian history of Aiken, the original “Winter Colony”. Equestrian events at Stable View have grown over the years to include FEI Horse Trials, USEF Hunter Jumper Shows, Level 3 Dressage Shows, the Eventing Academy Schooling Series, and regular schooling hunter jumper shows, schooling dressage shows, and combined tests.
Apart from equestrian activities, Stable View also provides an ideal backdrop for weddings, corporate events, and family reunions. With on-site accommodations and gathering spaces including the state-of-the-art LEED Gold certified Pavilion, Stable View can suit the needs of the most discerning guests.
