Oktoberfest Wrap Up!
The inaugural Advanced Oktoberfest Horse Trials has come to an end and the activity at Stable View Farm is considerably quieter on this Monday afternoon. The weather Gods shined upon us this past weekend, and our community came together to celebrate the first Advanced level event in Aiken’s equestrian history.
The entire team at Stable View Farm is humbled by the efforts and dedication of so many individuals who joined together to make this weekend a success. We wish to thank all of our dedicated volunteers, many of whom traveled great distances to help with all aspects of our event. Our staff, volunteers, event officials, sponsors, vendors and spectators all contributed towards making this weekend an experience to be remembered.
We also wish to congratulate our upper level competitors who rose to the challenge of running the event in a one day format. We are thankful to Captain Mark Phillips, Eric Bull and Richard Jeffery for designing and building courses that tested our competitor’s skills, yet brought them home safely.
In addition, we show our gratitude to our Sunday competitors who are the backbone and future of our sport. We look forward to seeing everyone back here at Stable View for our January Horse Trials and the 5 recognized events we have scheduled for 2017. Throughout the fall we will continue to hold our “Under the Stars” schooling jumper and dressage shows, and we will also host a Hunter Trial in November to celebrate fall.
So keep an eye on our website, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram Pages for up to the minute news and information!
