Featured Volunteer Allisa Huestis
Allisa Huestis moved from Atlanta, GA to Athens, GA ten years ago to fulfill her dream of living on a horse farm. Allisa and her husband own and run Pascova Farm with Allisa’s parents, Peter and Kay Amann. Pascova is a boarding and lesson facility with a focus on eventing. Kay Amann, Jorja Miller and Allisa started the UGA Eventing Team in 2012 and now sit on the advisory board. Allisa is also the DC (District Commissioner) for Piedmont Pony Club that currently has 25 members of ages and levels. In addition to horses, she also works part time for IBM in leadership and change consulting for acquisitions.
Allisa states that “Stable View has been such a wonderful facility in every way. Last year, we brought Piedmont Pony Club to volunteer for a horse trial. A few of the girls ran scores on horseback, we held a bake sale, and had an overall blast”. She also reflects on her opportunities to compete at Stable View and says she has thoroughly enjoyed it “from the xc course, to the arenas to the horse and human accommodations — everything is top notch”. Allisa also complements the Stable View owners and staff by saying “the Stable View family is always a pleasure to work with and are earnestly looking to improve at every corner”.
